Chrome OS‘s source was released yesterday, thus it is my site of the day.
I hope to get it running on a virtual machine today and get my opinion up (after most other people, I’m sure).
ChromeOS is Google’s new cloud based operating system built solely for netbooks (well anything with a fancy SSD).

First thought was “Wow!”
Second thought was “I need to follow this blog.”
Typically, for Site of the Day, I’ll avoid critiquing the layout and design of the site. FiveFingerCoding, however, REALLY hit the nail on the head with the layout. The first thing I noticed was the mixture of neutral colors with that bright orange accent.. beautiful. The only change I would make is to make the logo link to the homepage.

Yes, this is ANOTHER design/development blog and of course I think it’s a great resource. While I wouldn’t consider this site a plethora of resources, it’s full of great advice for designers and coders. The articles come from two brothers, one is a designer the other is the coder (sound familiar?). Every article I’ve read is extremely well written and provides helpful tips.

Another tutorial site? No, it’s another GREAT tutorial site!

I don’t remember who first linked me to Tutorial9, because a lot of people direct me to articles on Tutorial9 as often as any other Tutorial site. What sets this site aside to me is that it covers several genre’s, like blogging and photography rather then just focusing on design or development.
I would like to say that the tutorials are of great quality, hitting every detail making the site great for beginners.

Design Reviver is a great site for entrepreneurial designers, plain and simple. The site, running on WordPress delivers amazing content for designers. Resources from theme suggestions to lists of tutorials found around the net.
While the site is targeted at designers (obiviously), it contains a lot of tips that apply to freelancers.

Click away with my endorsement.

WhatsUpAndroid, while relatively new, is a great Android site. Rather than a hot news source, a lot of the articles are opinion pieces with some flare. The “Android PR Girl” comes from “Android Personal Relationships” and not “Public Relations” as one might think.

One that’s really emphasized on the site is Android as a solution, rather than a brand or product. I really think as this site grows it will have a lot of potential.

Tutsplus.com is a great resource for developers, to the point that I’m linked there by friends almost daily. Usually, I get referred to http://net.tutsplus.com but the site is loaded with tutorials of all sorts.

From coding to Photoshop, and all multimedia in between, this site is definitely worth visiting. If you really like their tutorials, they offer premium tutorials on subscription for $9/mo.

Here is my first Android related site and boy is it a good one. I started following AndroidandMe on Twitter a few weeks back and have definitely been impressed with the content. Aside from delivering news, the writers really put thought into their articles.

They even covered the AdMob story first!
If you’re into Android, this is a great site to follow.
