I was up at 4:45 AM for my flight to Ohio, in order to prepare John’s tC for the race.. As of 12 hours before this, it was confirmed that his rear main seal would be replaced by Friday (7/10).. It was also confirmed that his input shaft for the transmission would arrive Friday afternoon. It is currently 9:30, the 9th of july. Having received a call 4 hours ago from a friend a thousand miles away requesting that I help him get his car ready for Scion Exposed. I am now scheduled to leave Orlando at 6am and start work at 9am when I arrive.
Now for most, this might seem like an abnormal request.. considering the distance, however to the owner he knew what was on the table and that I was a person he could call on. Starting in 9 hours the journey will begin, however this (at the friends request) won’t be posted for at least 24 hours.
The issue is that he needs his race car ready to race in 36 hours.. at the current moment his car is sitting without motor nor trans, due to a faulty input shaft. The new input shaft will arrive at 4pm tomorrow, however before that time the car needs to have some things done, to make sure it is ready for the track Saturday. Continue Reading
